Born in southern Germany, Marie-Thérèse Zahnlecker has won a number of first prizes in the competition “Jugend musiziert" as a soloist as well as a much demanded partner in chamber ensembles.

Marie-Thérèse Zahnlecker has played as a soloist with numerous orchestras like the “Badische Philharmonie” or the “Südwestdeutsches Kammerorchester", performing piano concerts by Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Grieg and Tchaikovsky.

Her broad repertoire ranges from the baroque to the contemporary, however, the works of Beethoven and Schumann are at the centre of her artistic occupation.

On a regular basis, she collaborates with the composer Henrik Ajax, and in 2015 she gave the first performance of his piece “Trialog” in Munich. In the same year, an accompanying film was produced with the award-winning director Anatol Schuster.
